Special Thank-you by Terry Dodge, President
I want to thank everyone who prayed for me while I was in the hospital from Aug. 1 – 16, 2016 with Acute Pancreatitis. The doctors found the enzymes had reached 6,000 when normal is 20-40. My hemoglobin dropped to 8 and four days later my heart rate went to 200 and would go up and down from 180/150 down to normal and back up high, so I was sent to cardiac floor for closer monitoring. On top of that I developed water outside and inside of my lungs which turned into pneumonia. There were several other complications along with these which makes this the first time I have ever been in the hospital for sickness in my life.
I am thankful for my wonderful wife-Maxine who was there every day from morning until 8-9 p.m. to help care for me. The doctors (15-18 of them or more) were outstanding in the care they gave me. The nurses were the best one would want in a time of such sever sickness. They would go beyond the call of duty to see that things were cared for.
Last Wednesday, September 21, I was given an ultra-sound/scope of the pancreas and the doctor took two biopsies and we will get the report in a short time.
I am thankful for a loving Heavenly Father who hears the prayers of His children and answers them in one’s behalf – in this case mine. Without His healing power I’m not sure I would be writing his message.
Maxine and I look forward to attending the Columbia Union Pathfinder Camporee and the Southern Union Pathfinder Camporee during October with the traveling AYM Museum.
I continue to ask for your prayers as the pancreas will take several months to completely heal. Jesus coming cannot be too soon where we will never need to suffer pain and/or sickness. Come Lord Jesus!
